Hope came to us when Jake was 11-months-old. We had taken him to puppy classes at the local pet store, but we were still having a lot of problems. Hope's lessons taught us how to teach Jake what was expected of him. She was firm, yet still gentle in her training. Jake loved Hope and went absolutely bonkers when he saw her. During Hope's first class, Jake was all over the place, non-stop. Our last session, Jake was calm and responding to commands… what a big difference! Elke and Dave McBride

Socialization with other puppies and people is a priority at this age. Properly socializing your puppy is the single most important thing you can do to help your puppy grow up to be a friendly, confident dog. Starting at three weeks of age and continuing through 12-14 weeks is the critical period of socialization. We take full advantage of this window of opportunity and provide puppies with many positive, interactive experiences within a safe and structured environment.

This six week beginner class is for dogs six months and older. We will introduce you to the use of positive reinforcement to train your dog in a fun, non-aversive manner. Classes also include educating dog owners about canine diet and nutrition, grooming, and exercise. Throughout Obedience 101, you and your dog will work together as a team learning both verbal commands and hand signals for the following behaviors:

Our six week training courses are designed to help you better understand your puppy or dog while teaching them to be well-mannered members of your family. Information will include understanding how dogs learn and how dogs live as pack members. This will provide you with a better understanding of why your dog does what he or she does. You will learn the most effective way to become a loving but fair and consistent leader through using positive reinforcement training methods and relationship building exercises. Dog obedience training is an ongoing process. Plan on spending 15-20 minutes each day working with your dog to gain the maximum benefit from these classes.
Puppy Preschool is a fun introductory course specifically tailored for puppies who are ten weeks to five months old. Some key components to Puppy Preschool are puppy socialization and owner leadership skills.
